Question on Mobiles for twins

This may be a stupid question, but we just started putting our nursery together and it got me thinking...

I registered for two mobiles, one for each crib. But, I'm concerned about the music from both. Can you run both at the same time without having the music from each interfere with the other. I guess I'm just needing suggestions because I don't want to overstimulate by having two songs playing at the same time but not exactly in sync.

How did others with twins handle this?

I also wonder if the remote from one (if you chose ones with a remote) would make them both go???? Good question!

Can you play one with the music and have the other one silent but still spinning?? I dont know how far apart the cribs will be or how big the room is but if they are close enough they should be able to hear the music from one.

That's a good thought. I'm sure there is the same kind of remote system in each mobile (if you got them the same kind) and the couldboth be turned n together at the same time with one remote....though you never know one might respond quicker/or slower than the other?

I'm sure there are mobiles out there where you can just make it move with no sound.

I have a little foster girl right now that's 4 months (actually 5 months old today). We used to have several different kinds of mobils but have since gotten rid of them when my two littlest kids outgrew them.

So I just kinda made my own for her...I took some fishing line and tied it from one side of the crib to the other ...then tied a couple little toys hanging down from it. Close enough where she could reach for them when but not where they are in her way when she's trying to sleep...plus if I want it out of the way I just slide it from one side of the crib to the other...(since the crib we have had two round bars going along the length of the whole front and back bar.

If you did somethinf like that than you can just put a little cd player in their room and play some soothing night time lullabys for them.

Hey Wanna
That's a great idea!! We are on our third one because they all seem to break down. If/when this one breaks down we'll try that!! and Happy 5th month to the lil one
