Yellowish Orange on the TP?

Ladies, apologies in advance for the TMI, but for the past 5 or so days I've periodically noticed that when I wipe, there is a very faint tinge of yellowish or sometimes yellowish/orange on the TP. It's definitely not spotting and it's not red or brown, but there is some pigment there. It kind of looks like the color of pee, but as we all know pee wipes clear, so it can't be that. Sometimes it's mixed with some CM, sometimes not.

Has anyone experienced this? It makes me worry that it's a very small amount of blood mixing with fluid that gives it that color. I'm really worried all of a sudden.

My pee has been VERY yellow throughout my entire pregnancy...even though I try to "flush" my system by drinking lots of water. It even shows up yellow on the TP sometimes. I've never asked anyone about this either...hope there are some responses! :-)

I'm pretty sure progesterone makes your pee/cm look yellow, not sure about orange. Are you taking any new medication? My pee is more yellow than before I was pregnant, so is my cm.

Kelly to this day I still have orangish/yellow (depending on the time of day the colors are lighter or darker), I just thought it was from my prenatal vitamins. I haven't really thought much else about it. I'm sure it is nothing.

Kelly- Mine has also been yellow (not orange)throughout my whole pregnancy. I thought it might be because of the vitamins. I haven't had any problems related to this issue. I think you should be fine, but keep an eye on the discharge and make sure to call OB if you see any changes.

Early on, I had some yellowish orange yucky discharge, and I freaked. But apparently, it was nothing.

Kelly, I don't know if I've said this yet, but congratulations on your pregnancy! I've followed your roller coaster ride, and it's so nice to read that things are going well!

I have that sometimes as well, but I've chalked it up to my vitamins and not drinking enough water. Up your water intake and see if it disappears.

I also have, for some strange reason, yellowish/orangey CM.

Kelly, this is pretty normal. My urine was also very yellow (almost neon) during my pregnancy. It's one of the old wives tales that if your urine is neon yellow versus dull yellow that it's one gender over the other. Go figure. And believe me I drank almost twice as much water per day as I was required to and it was still this way. As long as there is no odor, itching and such it should be fine. But as always if you are concerned you can always call your doctor for reassurance.

This thread is cracking me up! :-) It's obviously something I've noticed the whole time, but never thought to mention. Funny how we all come out of the woodwork at our strange symptoms!

This is funny. I always just assumed it was the vitamins. Hadn't really thought much about it, but sure it's nothing to worry about.

I actually asked my doctor about it, he thinks it is the vitamins, I noticed it more about and hour or so after I took my vitamin. Another side effect of pregnancy, I wonder if it is in any of the books I have?

I really think it is the vitamins. I've been taking them for the last 3 years and like some have said...the urine is like a neon yellow. I was getting the bright yellow urine even though I wan's bfp. The first urine in the morning was is always really dark...I guess you could say orange-ish. I take mine at night and am usually clear by noon. I would try that and see if it makes a difference. If you still see the yellow/orange and contact your doctor about it...you can pretty much let them know it's not related to your vitamins (as long as your running clear by the afternoon). It would also help rule out your vitamins if you're in the beginning phases of a UTI. Sometimes they start out pain free.

So wait, to be clear - I'm not talking about the color of the pee in the toilet. I'm talking about color on the TP when I wipe. (In my pre-pregnant experience, pee is yellow in the bowl but clear on the TP.)

You ladies are all seeing this on the TP, too?
