What prenatals do you take?

I take the "one a day" brand with the second fish oil pill. Is this a good one?

I think this is a great question. I have no idea! I take stuart natal duet also with a separate DHA pill. I would love it if others have some answers...

I've been taking the Rainbow Light Just Once prenatals. They're all-natural and even vegan-friendly if that is a concern for anyone. They also have a few extras in them like ginger to help with m/s and red raspberry which apparently tones the womb for delivery (I just recently read that so I don't know a whole lot about it.) I really like them except that they are quite large and I occassionally have trouble swallowing them easily. I read a review by someone who had the same problem and ended up grinding them up so I think I might start cutting them in half. I buy mine from Target and apparently they have them in health food stores too.. though there are some websites that have them in larger quantities for slightly cheaper.

I was told that prenatal vitamins (and vitamins in general) that you take more than one a day are best because your body can absorb the vitamins better. I am taking Melaleuca prenatal vitamins (2 in the morning, 1 in the evening).

I took the Spring Valley Prenatals from Wal-Mart. If you have any question have your OB or RE look at the label to ensure you are getting enough of all the essential vitamins. I also took Lipil Expecta DHA suppliments.

I take OptiNate (click on the 'complete ingredients' on the left). I needed one with a stool softener (Docusate Sodium...same stuff that's in Colace) and compared these to many others (that are prescribed) and it seems these offered the most. They come in blister packs and you take two pills. One looks like a regular vitamin and the other is a fish oil/DHA supplement. PRENATE.COM

I feel like I am a vitamin junkie. My RE referred me to East West Essentials prenatal vitamin packages Welcome to East West Essentials I love them because they are easy on my tummy. I order them online. I tried some other ones before I found these and they made me feel sick to my stomach. I also take Lipil Expecta DHA suppliments. You can buy these at Walmart. My iron was tested low so I take an iron supplement as well.

I take Prenate w/ DHA. It is the prescription my ob as me on. It has dha, extra iron and soem other things.

I take Duet DHA - it's a vitamin plus an extra dha pill, but it's an rx. As well as a LOT of extra folic acid (family history of neural tube defect) and I just started on Slow FE (iron) for anemia. I would just ask your RE.

Mine are prescription also - Tandem w/ DHA. They have never made me feel sick and I don't have to take a seperate fish oil supp - but I still get the nasty fish burp!

i take vitafol with dha i was on prenat ones in feb but they made me sick so re switched me over to these and have been since then

For my prenatal vitamins, I take PrimaCare One daily and I have added 600 mg of calcium vitamins daily the last month because my nails started chipping and breaking easily. I am not a big milk drinker so the Calcium vitamins help.

I also take the PrimaCare One prescription prenatals. And although my vitamins already have DHA in them, I also take two DHA lemongels (from Metagenix) every day as well as a probiotic and Slow FE. And, of course, I take Colace several times a week. (Not that Colace is a vitamin, but it's part of the morning pill popping. Speaking of Colace, I was told I could take up to four a day, but since it comes in both 50 and 100 mg capsules, I'm confused about the actual safe dosage. Does anyone know the answer to this?)
