Something to think about, you need to read

About thirteen years ago I went on fertility drugs, I wanted nothing more then a baby. If I knew then what I know now. Things would be different. I have recently found out that I might have ovarian cancer, cause fertility drugs. I have a 22 month old baby adopted. I am scared that I will not be here to raise him. If I had to do it all over again I would not do the fertility drugs, so if you are doing the drugs think if it is worth it.
Thanks Boxersx4

one reason

After my HSG I had a week to think about what I wanted to do. There was an article in "O" mag. that told about the side affects of fertility drugs. Some of them where long term like cancer. That was one factor that helped in our decsion to just keep trying naturally. Eventually we stopped and now we are looking toward adoption in a few years.
I'm so sorry that you are dealing with that.

boxersx4, my heart goes out to you. This is a really valid point, I think that we have yet to see the many. many longterm side-effects of fertility drugs. I have taught middle school for eleven years and in the last 3-4 years the number of twins that i am teaching has easily tripled if not quadrupled. Right now out of 550 students there are 7 sets of twins!!!! (And I do not teach in a wealthy area, far from it). I would bet that the majority are clomid/ fertility related. These parents are in their 30's and early 40's- I think we have yet to really know the health impact on both mothers and children.

Im very sorry to hear about your cancer.. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Im also sorry that no one warned you of the dangers of introducing high doses of est into your body could cause this. I know you are not alone. Please continue to speak out on this. Its just one more thing against the pharma companies- they dont have the patient in mind long-term. We have seen that in the news nearly daily.

Ive known many ppl who have had both primary and secondary infertility.
Several IVF failures, Fertility drugs, you name it. What a majority of their obgyns failed to do was to pinpoint WHAT was causing their infertility. They treated endometriosis with drugs rather tha surgical tech. and so on.

One thing that I'd like to mention is that I am sure all of you have charted basaly at one point or another, etc.. NaProTEchnology is similar to this but without charting. Dr Hilgers has a extremely high conception rate and has techs all over the country.

So there is hope..

You are in my thoughts and prayers..
